Part Time Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Pastor and/or Director in the effective and efficient planning and organizing of their schedules, tasks, reporting, duties, and calendars. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to daily tasks, weekly services, and major events and all secretarial related needs of the Pastor and/or Director. They must maintain discretion and confidentiality as the Administrative Assistant often works with highly confidential information. This part-time position is responsible to the overseeing Pastor/Director.
Administration and Communication:
Attend meetings: including staff and ministry team meetings as related to LSCC and the needs of the department worked in.
Provide resources, documentation, and communication for leadership as directed.
Assist the Pastor/Director with the following responsibilities:
The support and coordination of the staff’s activities within LSCC.
The coordination and communication with other staff regarding the activities of LSCC.
Help the Pastor/Director lead and oversee any events that take place in your area of ministry responsibility.
With daily and weekly tasks including the processing of purchase orders, maintaining a yearly budget, communicating with volunteer leaders, and assisting in the day-to-day tasks of ministry.
Attends Lone Star Cowboy Church as your home church.
Other general responsibilities:
Make appointments and manage calendars.
Send and receive correspondence and calls on behalf of the overseeing Pastor/Director.
Process, file and create documents and other necessary paperwork.
Maintain social media presence in relation to the deprartmental needs as well as the main LSCC social media pages.
Coordinate travel arrangements necessary for church-related engagements.
Other duties may be assigned at the discretion fo the overseeing Pastor/Director.

Proficient with current technology, communication, and online tools.
Is able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
Is able to be proficient with Excel and Word and the Google counterparts of Sheets and Docs.
Is able to learn, grasp and be proficient with other technologies used by LSCC.
For example, Slack (our primary communication tool), Breeze (our church management software), Intacct (our church accounting software), WorkForceGo (our payroll system), Google apps, etc.
Is able to prioritize and multitask, using good time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Strong listener, humble and teachable.
Knowledgeable concerning relevant legal and ethical issues.
Begin and end projects within a reasonable timeframe.
Self-starter needing minimal supervision.
Works well with other and within a team.
Strong organizational vision, goals, values, and policies.
High school diploma or GED required.
Attends any training asn continuing education offered by LSCC or at LSCC in order to grow personally and as a Christian.
At least 2 years of church ministry experience preferred.
Knowledge of Google products is necessary.
Proficiency with technology is a must.
