The great commission
Our missions ministry is dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission, as commanded in
Matthew 28:16-20, by spreading the Gospel and making disciples of all nations. We believe
that every person deserves to hear the good news of Jesus and we strive to share
His love with everyone we encounter.
Our Purpose :
To Reach, Teach, and Disciple at
home and overseas.

Our Mission in action

Local
Missions
Local Missions Third Saturday events are dedicated to serving the community by providing general construction, clean up, disaster relief, and other services that require hard work and strong hands.
You can support Lone Star's mission by visiting the Missions Coffee Truck on Sunday mornings and enjoying a delicious hot or cold drink of your choice while funding a project for a widow, single mom, family or anyone in need.
If you're a man or woman who likes to work with your hands we need you to be a part of our team.

Young Adult Greece Trip 2025
One event that we hosted in May was Texas Night. We had a “real cowboy” on a team this year, which was so fun for everyone! He showed our friends how to rope and talked about what kind of work he does on the ranch. We made Texas BBQ and banana pudding, and our Greek friends had such a good time! - Kennon and Amanda Briggs

Cuba Medical Wellness Trip 2025
Being able to meet a great need. In medicine, being able to alleviate suffering and pain is very powerful. I know that Jesus is the great physician and I am grateful to be his assistant in some small way.
- Dr. Kaaz

Cuba Construction Trip 2024
“This trip has just been amazing for me, a life changing experience to grow my faith and to see how faith has grown under hard times and circumstances…these people are experiencing hard times in very difficult circumstances. We see the Holy Spirit just moving upon these people - just seeing their countenance that you see and the joy that they have has really impacted me.” Trey Laird III
